Jen Schurman

Jen has a lifelong passion for putting people and animals together in a way that heals them both. She spent 10 years as a neuroscience trainer for major pharmaceutical companies and is a board certified Life Enrichment Director.

She began working with therapy dogs 20 years ago. 12 years ago, she added goats to the therapy program and has never looked back. She was featured for her work with therapy goats in 2017 on Nat Geo’s Unlikely Animal Friends. Shepherd’s Rest Goat and Sheep Rescue was started to rescue and rehabilitate goats in need and to educate the public about the need to save these wonderful animals.

In the future, their educational program will allow people to complete training and become certified as therapy teams with our eligible rescue goats to spread good into the world.
